Let's have a new election, but this time replace McCain with Thomas Sowell and a black female of his choice. I think you would find Dr. Sowell would win in a record landslide. Had Hillary Clinton won instead of Obama, we would likely be facing and fighting against the same things, so instead of racists we would be called anti-feminists. I could care less what color Obama is, it is what he is trying to do that matters.
Dr. Sowell and (his choice) in 2010. 2 years of Obama will be too much.
Dr. Sowell is fantastic. I firsty heard of him on Glenn Beck and then I looked him up on the internet and really liked everything I read about him. He would be a no-nonsense kind of a president and I think the country would LOVE him!
In 1979 Jesse Jackson said "I'm sick and tired of hearing about the holocaust." Isn't about time for all of us to say "We're sick and tired of hearing about slavery."? It's history, and most every race on the planet has been enslaved at one time or another. The lesson to be learned is that slavery was and is wrong. For many years when filling out surveys, I've answered the question "Race:" with "Human", and that has nothing to do with skin color. I disagree completely with Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, and Ted Kennedy. Does that mean I'm anti gay, anti woman, and anti old or fat? I am anti their political agenda, and pro individual freedom.
Obama should now assume responsibility for the failing economy as he has done NOTHING to improve it. It began to fail under Bush, although NOT because of Bush, although Bush was led into making a poor decision by passing the stimulus bill. The money has been used in ways that only worsen the economy, and instead the emphasis of the Obama/Emanuel administration has and continues to be to make government larger and more costly, while destroying the dollar, the family, the individuals, the economy, and the Nation while transforming the U.S. into a Marxist based absolute Democratic Socialist form of government. Politicians are being elected based on what they will give their voters, and as they cause more people to be in need they grow their voter base. This was why the Nation was created and the Constitution was written creating a Republic made up of sovereign states. In 1912, the 17th amendment was the first step in moving us from a Republic to a Democracy, and the Constitution has mostly been ignored continually since that time.
It's time to demand that our elected representatives read the constitution, and work within the constraints of it, not around it. Federal government has grown too large and should be reduced greatly in size. Politicians should shut their mouths and open their ears when facing their constituents. Government is an employee of the people and not the other way around. When is the last time anyone has seen an accounting to the penny on how our tax dollars are being spent? The numbers are huge, and rounded to millions, billions, or now even trillions, so corruption and waste is rampant, but no one looks into it. Last month the National debt clock displayed the estimated Medicaid fraud for this year to total more than $40 billion. It appears that the estimate has now been removed from the clocks display. How often do you see working taxpayers being sought out by the IRS for minute amounts of underpayment, while politicians are exempted from the same treatment for huge sums underpaid? Charlie Rangel - Senator, Tim Geitner - Treasury Secretary over the IRS, to name just a couple.
With the election of Obama/Biden and the introduction of his advisory Czars, is it not time that all Americans recognize that "CHANGE" is needed more than ever? And to borrow again from Obama, "YES WE CAN."
