Always thought of myself as an idendependent. After i read Bruce Bartlett's book "Wrong on Race: The Democratic Party's burried Past" I began to change my views much on politics. I highly recommend Barlett's book. Even though most Black folks don't beleive it, or have been brainwashed by the Democratic party, after i have done much study on this issue, the Republcian party is the much better party for Black folks. I say this wiht much data behind me that i studeid. They are really the ones that passed Civil Rights. The Democrats really fought it. Even Presidnet Johnson was reluctant to sign the act and is now revelaed ina new book that he used the N word frequently behind the scenes. He signed it out of a matter of politics. One misnomer is the fact that the republicans had s sourthern strategy (Under Pres Nixon) to disenfranchacse southern voters to vote against Blacks. What! How could this be when Governor George Wallace the segreationist Democrat had the south in the palm of his hand. It is not possible the Pres Nixson had a southern strategiy. Think about that for a while. There is a sileint movemnet in American, Black people are slowly going back to their roots in teh Republican party. I think it will happen before this four year term is over with President. y thoughts.
