So what do you suggest we do? I've trying to bring people to the site and even get local groups together so we could bring the internet, to the real world, this is one of my visions.
I would love to get ideas from you because you seem like someone with a lot of good ones, I wouldn't mind working with you because there is power in unity.
Soooo... What do we do here? I mean, ning has this fantastic set-up where anybody can create their own social site. Kool. Except everybody is doing it! It wouldn't be so bad if the Afrocentric sites were all doing something different than all the others (here, of course being the exception). Our struggle needs to be fought on all fronts in the real world, and that should be reflected in the virtual world. This is not being done, and thus, we have too many of these sites that have all of these members, but there is almost no activity (with the exception of the occasional comment or friend invite). Many of us don't even take the time to upload a profile picture or avatar. My homelessness and missing laptop has prevented me from doing all that I should be doing here, and I do realize that we all have lives outside of the 'net. But if we are to accomplish anything, we must try to squeeze in the time to work on what we have here. I spend hours trying to woo other like-minded individuals from Myspace and Youtube; the least we can do here is make them feel like they aren't wasting their time here at ning. Let's get to it my people!
I usually don't hesitate to labeling/identifying people, institutions, artforms, and so forth. I stumble, however, when I attempt to define the sort of person that I am. Here I am associating myself with a group labeled as "conservative", and I'm not sure if the appelation suits me 100%. "Radical" or "revolutionary" might suit me better, since I tend to lean towards unorthodox methods of solving issues. My reason for joining such a group is what I believe I see within the concept/forum; something truly radical. Some may interpret the name and the logo of this group as one being counter to the other, I do not. Radical Revolutionary Pan-Afrikan Nationalist Conservatives? Let us find out.
