SCHIP a'hoy
Do you know where the money for this bill is coming from? It's coming from a very nasty vice called cigarettes. Why are we supporting heath with such an unhealthy thing such as cigarettes? What does this mean, we will have to get more people smoking to make sure the kids stay healthy.
But they who gets more power, the cigarette lobbies. Matter of fact lets get the kids to start smoking to support their own health plan. How ironic.
But this bill is for the middle class uh? Don't they have health insurance? They do work right, and they do get health insurance from their jobs right? They claim that this is to help those that have too much money for assistance but too little money to afford insurance but is that really the problem?
We are a consumption nation, we like to buy stuff even if we don't need it. We save 4% of our income on average as Americans where the Japanese save 60%. Why don't we start saving so we can afford that "unattainable" insurance?
Do we really need all those channels from cable, do we really need that Honda Accord...for some that BMW? But they can't afford health insurance.
Of course all the blame can't be put on those people, the health insurance companies are too concern with making money than with making sure people stay healthy. Wait, I can still put the blame on those people again.
How does a business stay in business? By having customers, if you don't have customers you can't stay in business so a Health insurance business are dependent on you and me. How did we switch the dependence and give these companies so much power?
It's because a lot of Americans run to Uncle Sam to make things better when we can do it ourselves. We cry "Uncle Sam, don't get in my business but can you do this for me cause I'm too lazy to do it myself."
If you are having problems with the insurance company, get out there and show the health insurance that they better comply to our demands are we won't pay any money to you. Rally in groups that make sense, not "protest the war that's protecting us, and this marching isn't do a damn thing but distracting us from issues that should be important to us."
So good riddance to the Atria SCHIP, doesn't Atria own Kraft, don't they already make schips ahoy?
